Applications for MEDC little enterprise aid grants open up Tuesday

Small business homeowners negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic will be in a position to use for a grant of up to $20,000 commencing Tuesday.

The Michigan Strategic Fund board on Thursday authorised $55 million in grants for small companies, part of a broader COVID-19 reduction bill handed by the Michigan Legislature and signed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer very last yr. 

The Michigan Financial Progress Corporation is coordinating the effort with 15 regional or nonprofit economic enhancement businesses that cover the 83 counties across the condition awarding the funds.

Grants of up to $20,000 are available to companies that are completely closed. Grants of up to $15,000 will go to businesses that have been partially shut, or are open and can demonstrate the harmful effects the pandemic has experienced on their enterprise.
